We currently have an opening at our Legacy Junction facility located in Camrose, Alberta. SALES AGRONOMIST Sales Agronomists are responsible for contributing to increased sales volumes and overall business unit and corporate profitability by way of marketing products and services to farm and other retail customers throughout a specified trading area and must regularly provide accurate and label directed agronomic and crop production information to customers. Other responsibilities include: creation and implementation of marketing plans to help match agronomic products and services that Richardson Pioneer offers to customers; agronomic training and updates to staff; accurate product forecasting; and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Agriculture and/or a minimum of 3 - 5 years of agronomy and crop inputs sales experience, excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Applications. The Certified Crop Advisor designation would be considered an asset. Agriculture Career Opportunity: Crop Inspector (#09-04AMC) Parkland County, Alberta Agriculture Career Specifications: Description: With a population of 29,679, Parkland County offers a range of municipal services and a vibrant mix of agricultural, residential, industrial and recreational opportunities. This unique rural area is situated on the west outskirts of Edmonton, stretching over 2438 sq. km. of picturesque landscapes. We are currently inviting applications for a: CROP INSPECTOR (Temporary, Full-time; Summer Position) Parkland County has a Temporary, Full-time Summer Position available in the Agricultural Services Department for a Crop Inspector. You will assist with pest identification and control, forage and crop production related issues, crop weed identification and control recommendations as well as conduct insect and pest surveys. Knowledge of Weed Control and Agricultural Pest Acts are required. The ability to deal with the public effectively and courteously in delivering workshops as well as the ability to identify a variety of weeds, insects and crop diseases is required. QUALIFICATIONS: - Current enrollment or completion of post-secondary education in Agriculture - Farm experience would be an asset - Previous Field Scouting experience would be an asset - Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
