The Assistant Manager plays a vital role
in the overall operation of the facility and achievement of production targets,
while demonstrating an exceptionally high level of customer service and
providing leadership to others. This position is responsible for monitoring
safe operating procedures and maintaining the corresponding documentation.
Duties and responsibilities include, but
are not limited to:
Contribute to the Movement of Grain, including operating heavy
Ensuring grain is moved in a timely manner and meeting quality
specifications on all shipments
Performing Exceptional Customer Service Duties
In collaboration with the General Manager, mentor, coach and
supervise operational staff
Responsible for Safety Audit and Compliance including HCCP
practices and certification
Work with other Business Areas and Departments as Required and
foster a culture of respect and positive, progressive environment for all
employees and customers
Other duties as assigned
Previous experience in supervising/managing operational staff
Knowledge and experience in the storage and movement of grain
Experience in operation of heavy machinery
Experience in Health and Safety policies
Knowledge of hydraulic machinery & electrical, repair and
Overall knowledge of agricultural business and operations
