National Sales Manager
AgraCity Crop and
Established in 1998 and based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, AgraCity’s
core business is the procurement, production, packaging, sale and distribution
of crop inputs (fertilizers, pesticides, inoculants) and other ag-related
products to stakeholders in a value-added manner.
AgraCity is the sales, marketing, and distribution partner of Farmers of
North America (FNA). With a focus on direct-to-farm crop input supply, AgraCity
develops and sources products globally to enhance the production and bottom-line
of their farmer clientele.
Recently, AgraCity and Farmers of North America have announced
construction of the first of seven fertilizer SuperCenters. Located in Belle
Plaine, Saskatchewan, with slated completion in early 2018, over 600 farmers
from over 200 Western
Canada communities will share in the rewards of owning part of a major
fertilizer supply and distribution system. Once complete, Genesis Belle Plaine will boast
a 52,000 tonne fertilizer SuperCenter with the ability to distribute three
times its capacity at 150,000 tonnes. This will be the largest
direct-to-farm facility of its kind in Canada. The design will accommodate
urea, phosphate, micro-nutrients, sulphur, and potash, enabling annual supply
for farmer investors.
The National Sales Manager is
responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training, and leadership of the
national sales team. With a mandate to grow the business and further penetrate
the market, the National Sales Manager leads a geographically dispersed direct
sales force, ensuring both individual and group sales goals are achieved. With
a focus on disciplined sales processes and training, the National Sales Manager
will continue to drive a path of success through collaboration and teamwork.
As a candidate for this role, you will ideally have post-secondary
education in either agriculture or business, combined with three or more years
of experience managing a sales team. Your breadth of agricultural knowledge and
leadership experience are enhanced by your overarching focus on improving the
profitability and production of farmers. Your demonstrated ability to lead,
coach and motivate a high-performance sales team rounds out your experience.
